Scrub clearance · Essex

Scrub and overgrowth clearance with excavator-mounted flail

For dense scrub, brambles and overgrowth along field margins, tracks, ditches and boundaries, an excavator fitted with a flail mulching head cuts and mulches the growth in place. It reaches into areas that are slow or unsafe to clear by hand, and leaves a much more manageable finish.

  • Scrub, brambles and overgrown hedgerow margins
  • Field margins, tracks and access routes
  • Overgrown land being brought back into use
  • Follow-on clearance, stump removal and levelling with our mini digger

Land clearance across Essex is planned around nesting birds and any protected habitats, and we will talk through timing with you before work starts.

Site clearance FAQs

What kind of sites do you clear?

We clear overgrown gardens and land, building plots and development sites, paddocks and field margins, and commercial land — removing vegetation, scrub, brambles, rubble and spoil as needed.

Do you take the waste away?

Yes — we are a registered waste carrier, so we can take cleared material away for proper disposal. Tell us what needs removing when you request a quote. In England, any business that transports waste for you must be registered as a waste carrier with the Environment Agency, and you can check a carrier on the public register on GOV.UK.

Can you clear vegetation during the bird nesting season?

Wild birds and their active nests are protected by law. Vegetation clearance during the main nesting season (broadly March to August) needs a careful check for active nests first, and work may need to wait. We will discuss timing with you.

Can you clear dense scrub and brambles?

Yes. Dense scrub, brambles and overgrowth can be cleared with an excavator-mounted flail mulching head, which cuts and mulches the growth in place, and finished off by hand or with our mini digger where needed.

Can you remove roots and stumps as part of a clearance?

Yes. Clearance can be combined with our digger and driver hire to grub out roots and stumps and level the ground afterwards.

What if the site has Japanese knotweed or other invasive weeds?

Invasive weeds need special care, as material such as Japanese knotweed is controlled waste and must not be spread. Let us know before work starts — see our specialist weed control service.
